Reilly, through his lawyers, has subpoenaed the confidential records of all alleged victims of clergy sexual abuse from the Worcester, MA Diocese who have contacted the organization SNAP — the Survivors Network of Those Abused by Priests. “I believe the intent here is to keep more victims from coming forward to talk about their abuse by priests,” said Philip Saviano, SNAP regional director”

This is one of a series of periodic newsletters sent to the local chapter mailing list of roughly eighty clergy abuse survivors. The letters announce upcoming meetings and provide a summary of recent developments in the issue of clergy abuse. In this newsletter, Phil updates the group on his work with newspapers in Dallas and Ft. Worth regarding priests transferred there from New England, his pitch to the Boston Herald to come sit in on an upcoming SNAP meeting, and his efforts to interest ABC News in a report on Catholic treatment centers for priests.
