2015 | Phil Saviano Receives SNAP’s Pioneer Award

In Speeches and Panels by PhilSaviano

Phil Saviano has been a long-time member of SNAP, the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests. He went public about his childhood abuse by the Worcester Diocese priest David Holley in late 1992. After settling a sex abuse lawsuit against the Diocese with no confidentiality restrictions, he took what he had learned about the bishops’ coverup, and his ability to speak freely, and established the first New England Chapter of SNAP in 1997.
